Early life[]

Foucher was born and brought up in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She took part in several sports up to high school, including gymnastics, tennis, soccer, and track and field. Foucher won the Michigan Division II all-around gymnastics championship as a high school senior. She decided to major in biomedical engineering at the University of Michigan, and began pursuing a medical career. Later on, she enrolled at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

Professional career[]

Foucher discovered CrossFit in the summer of 2009 while pursuing a career at top colleges in the United States. According to her website, she quickly developed skill and strength through her high school gymnastics and track in high school. She turned into one of the top CrossFitters in the country when Foucher qualified for the 2010 CrossFit Games and finished in fifth place. Foucher placed fifth in the 2011 edition. The following year, she balanced her determination in academics and fitness, placing second at the 2013 CrossFit Games. This helped her surpass Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Annie Thorisdottir, and other top CrossFitters. She continued to dominate in the 2014 CrossFit Games, but did not win the competition. Foucher was labeled the "third-fittest woman in the world" by Cleveland.com. She was also listed by the Cleveland Magazine in the Most Interesting People 2013.
